About the Company
San Francisco was founded by John Azzaro in 1913. Azzaro was described as a progressive businessman. He was born in Genoa, Italy, on April 16, 1890, and in 1905 came to San Francisco, where he worked and learned the flower business. In April 1913, he opened San Francisco Floral, located at 1201 J Street in Fresno.
In 1925, he built a greenhouse and nursery at 5080 East Tulare Street where he grew cut flowers and plants. The family still operates the nursery and maintains the highest quality in plants and flowers.
John Azzaro married Anita Grossi of Sanger, California, in 1921. They had two sons, Vernon and Robert. John passed away in 1955 and Anita and the sons ran the business until her death in 1980. In 1989, after Vernon retired, Robert and his son Andy took over the business. The firm has a fleet of 10 delivery trucks and employs 35 people in three locations. Flowers are still brought in from San Francisco, Northern California and Southern California with their own refrigerated trucks. Tropical and exotic plants are shipped in from all over the world.

To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least 1 day prior to the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
Our shop will always be closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

Delivery Policy
A delivery fee of $7.99 will be added to each order.
For deliveries outside our delivery area, this fee may vary.
Orders must be received by 1:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone for same-day delivery.
We will do our best to accommodate timed delivery requests but cannot guarantee them.
Delivery cannot be made to rural routes or PO boxes.
We will be happy to accept your international orders. However, these orders cannot be accepted over the internet. Please call us at (800)437-4538.
